Information on fly fishing in the west of Ireland
I found this anchored to the bottom of the Clare, one mile upstream of the bridge at Claregalway. Twenty yards downstream of the net lay a dead pike (3lb) on the river bed. The fish was contorted and its gills were outstretched. Western fisheries board officers removed the net later that evening.
